Sympathy cards show love for the family of the deceased.  Unfortunately, it seems the older I get the more I need these types of cards. This is a brand new release from Hero Arts called Layered Topiary Stamp & Cut. The Hero Arts Topiary will be a new release in 2018-I happened to get this at one of the Hero Arts ShopBox retailers (Scrappy Craft in Phoenix, Oregon). The ShopBox retailers get the new releases before anyone else does-go HERE for the list of retailers.

A little Love Note

Hi Dawn T here to share my card today.

Today's project is a mini card.... A7 (7.5cm x 5.75cm)

For my card I started by sponging some pink inks through a Hero Arts stencil (Swirl).  I then used a Hero Art  Stamp'n'Cut set (Yes DC132)  I used a dark pinky/purple ink and used the matching die to cut out.

Thanks for visiting.  Hoping to see you join us for our challenge.

Hero Arts Love Potion # 9

February is the month of love.
Well, I always think of it that way.
Hero Arts is our sponsor and I always have a wonderful time making cards with their products.

You won't believe how I came up with this idea.  I wanted to create a project using the "Enjoy the Journey".  I went to bed and woke up in the morning with the idea that the bottle looked like a flask, rather than the normal bottle.  Suddenly, Love Potion # 9 came to me.  Since it's about love and it's February, the month of love, I had to use red for the "flask".  You never know how you will come up with an idea.

Happy Anniversary

Welcome! This month at Die Cut Diva's our theme is "Love", and the prize is from-

Here is my project-

Anniversary cards are all about love-and this card went to my husbands parents on their 58th wedding anniversary! A friend and I were trying techniques, and I had cut some backgrounds with my Cricut to use a stencils for watercolors. I got great results on the watercolor paper, and the paper stencils got colored too. And I LOVE these Hero Arts butterflies.

Cup of Mouse!

Hi Dawn here....

can you believe it.... both Arlene and I chose to use this super cute Mouse in a Tea Cup for our samples.... the joy of card making is that two of us can use the same image and get something quite different,

I've used Prisma pencils to colour my little mouse in a cup.  I used a stitched rectangle die to cut it out and a large scallop for my matting.

Do come and join us with your "Something New" projects this month.
